Move a case to a new environment

You can move a case from one environment to another, or duplicate the case in another environment. This is helpful if you have many environments in your organization and you want to transfer cases between environments.

To change the case environment, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Cases page.
  2. Drill down to the relevant case.
  3. Click the Environment menu in the case top bar and select the required environment.
  4. movecasetonewenvironment
  5. In the New Environment dialog, select one of the following options:
    • To duplicate the case in a new environment with a new Case ID, click Confirm.
    • To close the case in the current environment, select the Close current case checkbox, and then click Confirm. This will close the case in the current environment and create a new case with a new Case ID in the selected environment.
