Privacy Protection Authority (Israel)
Israel’s Privacy Protection Authority (“PPA”) is responsible for supervising private and public entities’ compliance with the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 (PPL) and associated regulations. Additional regulations the PPA is responsible for overseeing include:
- Privacy Protection Regulations (Information Security) (“Security Regulations”), and
- Privacy Protection (Transfer of Data to Databases Abroad) Regulations, 5761-2001 (“Transfer Regulations”)
Google Cloud recognize that organizations may have questions about the PPL and privacy protections in Israel. We created a paper, Israel’s Protection of Privacy Law, intended to help our customers understand the PPL, Security Regulations, and Transfer Regulations. This paper outlines how Google Cloud implements data privacy and security capabilities to store, process, maintain, and secure data in a way that aids customers in meeting their regulatory obligations.
