Datenbankverbindung für eine öffentliche IP-Instanz erstellen
Looker (Google Cloud Core) muss mit einer Datenbank verbunden sein, damit Nutzer Daten analysieren und Inhalte erstellen können. Hier erfahren Sie, wie Sie eine Datenbankverbindung für eine Looker-Instanz (Google Cloud Core) mit öffentlicher IP-Adresse erstellen, die als Grundlage für ein beliebiges LookML-Projekt oder für ein bestimmtes LookML-Projekt verwendet werden kann.
Rufen Sie die Seite „Datenbank mit Looker verbinden“ auf.
Klicken Sie auf der Startseite von Looker (Google Cloud Core) im Hauptnavigationsmenü auf die Schaltfläche Erstellen, um das Drop-down-Menü zu öffnen.
Wählen Sie im Drop-down-Menü Verbindung aus, um die Seite Datenbank mit Looker verbinden zu öffnen.
Datenbankverbindung erstellen
Führen Sie auf der Seite Datenbank mit Looker verbinden die folgenden Schritte aus:
Geben Sie im Bereich Name einen Namen für die Verbindung ein. Dieser Name wird im Feld Verbindung auf der Seite Modell erstellen sowie auf der Seite Verbindungen angezeigt.
Wählen Sie im Bereich Verbindungsbereich die Option Alle Projekte aus, um eine Verbindung zu erstellen, die für alle LookML-Projekte in Ihrer Looker (Google Cloud Core)-Instanz verwendet wird. Wählen Sie stattdessen Ausgewähltes Projekt aus, um eine Verbindung zu erstellen, die nur für das von Ihnen angegebene LookML-Projekt verwendet wird.
Wenn Sie im Bereich Verbindungsbereich die Option Ausgewähltes Projekt ausgewählt haben, wählen Sie das Projekt aus, für das Sie diese Verbindung verwenden möchten.
Wählen Sie im Bereich Dialect (Dialekt) den entsprechenden Dialekt für Ihre Datenbank aus. Sie können auch mit der Eingabe des Dialektnamens beginnen. Looker zeigt dann Vorschläge für Dialektnamen an, die mit dem übereinstimmen, was Sie eingegeben haben.
Nachdem Sie einen Dialekt für die Verbindung ausgewählt haben, werden in Looker die Felder für die Verbindungseinstellungen angezeigt, die für Ihren Datenbankdialekt gelten. Füllen Sie die folgenden Einstellungen aus, die in Looker angezeigt werden:

Maximieren oder minimieren Sie die Abschnitte im Bereich Optionale Einstellungen, um die verfügbaren Optionen für die Datenbankverbindung zu sehen und zu konfigurieren. Sie können auch auf Alle einblenden klicken, um alle Bereiche zu maximieren.
Klicken Sie auf Testen, um die Verbindungseinstellungen zu testen. Wenn die Verbindung richtig konfiguriert ist, wird ein grünes Häkchen angezeigt.
Klicken Sie auf Erstellen, um die Verbindung zu erstellen.
Sie können die Verbindung auf der Seite Verbindungen aufrufen und verwalten.

You can also use this quickstart to create a database connection for a Looker (original) instance\n\nBefore you begin\n\nTo follow along with this quickstart, you'll need the following:\n\n- Access to a Looker (Google Cloud core) instance.\n- You must have the [**Looker Admin**](/looker/docs/admin-panel-users-roles#default_roles) role or have the [`manage_project_connections` Looker permission](/looker/docs/admin-panel-users-roles#manage_project_connections).\n- A database dialect that is compatible with Looker (Google Cloud core). For a list of compatible dialects, see [Supported dialects for Looker (Google Cloud core)](/looker/docs/looker-core-dialects#supported_dialects_for).\n\nNavigate to the Connect your database to Looker page\n\n1. On the Looker (Google Cloud core) homepage, click the **Create** button in the main navigation menu to open the drop-down menu.\n2. From the drop-down menu, select **Connection** to open the **Connect your database to Looker** page.\n\nCreate your database connection\n\nOn the **Connect your database to Looker** page, complete the following steps:\n\n1. In the **Name** section, enter a name for your connection. This name will appear in the **Connection** field of the **Create a Model** page, as well as the **Connections** page.\n\n | **Tip:** Don't use the name of any [folders](/looker/docs/organizing-spaces) for this setting. This value doesn't need to match anything in your database; `Name` is a label that identifies this connection within the Looker UI.\n2. In the **Connection Scope** section, select **All Projects** to create a connection that will be used for all LookML projects in your Looker (Google Cloud core) instance, or select **Selected Project** to create a connection that will be used only for the LookML project that you specify.\n\n3. If you chose **Selected Project** in the **Connection Scope** section, select the project that you want to use this connection for.\n\n4. In the **Dialect** section, choose the appropriate dialect for your database. You can also begin typing the dialect name and Looker will display suggestions for the dialect names that match what you've typed.\n\n5. Once you select a dialect for the connection, Looker displays the connection settings fields that apply to your database dialect. Fill in the subsequent settings that Looker displays:\n\n - The majority of the connection settings are common to most database dialects. For descriptions of common database settings, see the [Connecting Looker to your database](/looker/docs/connecting-to-your-db) documentation page.\n - For instructions for your specific dialect, see the [Connecting Looker (Google Cloud core) to your database](/looker/docs/looker-core-dialects#database_configuration_instructions) documentation page.\n6. In the **Optional Settings** section, expand or collapse the sections to see and configure the available options for your database connection. You can also click **Expand all** to expand all the sections.\n\n7. To test your connection configuration settings, click **Test**. If your\n connection is configured correctly, you'll see a green check mark.\n\n8.
