You can share and manage your reports in Looker folders and see your recent reports and the reports that you have marked as favorites from the Looker **Home** page.\n\nBefore you begin\n----------------\n\nTo use Looker reports, your Looker instance must meet all [requirements](/looker/docs/enabling-studio-in-looker#requirements_and_limitations) for Looker reports, and your Looker admin must [enable Looker reports](/looker/docs/enabling-looker-reports#enabling).\n\nYou may also need to grant your users permissions to interact with Studio in Looker features. See the [Overview of Studio in Looker documentation page](/looker/docs/overview-of-studio-in-looker-permissions) for more information about Studio in Looker permissions.\n\nAccessing Looker reports\n------------------------\n\nYou can access Looker reports in the following ways, depending on the [permissions](/looker/docs/overview-of-studio-in-looker-permissions) that your instance admin has granted you:\n\n- [From the Looker main navigation panel](#from_the_looker_main_navigation_panel)\n- [From an Explore page](#from_an_explore_page)\n- [From a previously created or shared report](#from_a_previously_created_or_shared_report)\n- [From Looker search](#from_looker_search)\n\n### From the Looker main navigation panel\n\nIn the Looker main navigation panel, click the **Create** button, and then select the **Report** menu item to open the Looker reports editor tool, where you can create a new Looker report.\n| **Note:** You must have the [`save_dashboards`](/looker/docs/overview-of-studio-in-looker-permissions#save_dashboards) permission to save or edit reports.\n\nIf your Looker admin has enabled [Gemini in Looker](/looker/docs/overview-gemini) *and* Looker reports for your Looker instance, you can query your Explore data in natural language with [Conversational Analytics](/looker/docs/studio/conversational-analytics-looker-connector). To access Conversational Analytics, select **Conversations** from the main navigation panel or click the **Create** button, and then select the **Conversation** menu item.\n\n### From an Explore page\n\nFrom a [Looker Explore page](/looker/docs/creating-and-editing-explores#explores_are_the_starting_point_for_exploration), you can open a Looker report or [query your data with Conversational Analytics](#gil-reports-explore).\n| **Note:** You must have the [`explore`](/looker/docs/overview-of-studio-in-looker-permissions#explore) permission to view Looker Explores and open a report from an Explore.\n\n#### Create a new Looker report\n\nClick the **Create report from fields** button to open the Looker report editor tool, where you can create a new Looker report.\n\n#### Query your data with Conversational Analytics\n\nIf your Looker admin has enabled Gemini in Looker *and* Looker reports for your Looker instance, as a Looker user, you can [query your Explore data in natural language](/looker/docs/studio/conversational-analytics-looker-connector) with Conversational Analytics.\n\nTo access Conversational Analytics from an Explore, click **Start a conversation**.\n\n### From a previously created or shared report\n\nIf you have previously created any Looker reports, or if another user has shared a report with you, you will see the report in the folder where it was saved, under the **Reports** section. You can also access these reports from Looker search.\n| **Note:** You must have the [`see_user_dashboards`](/looker/docs/overview-of-studio-in-looker-permissions#see_user_dashboards) permission to view reports.\n\nFor more information about saving, moving, copying, and sharing Looker reports, see the [Move, share, and copy reports](/looker/docs/move-share-copy-reports) documentation page.\n\n### From Looker search\n\nYou can use [Looker search](/looker/docs/finding-content#searching_for_saved_content) to find Looker reports that you created or that other users have shared with you.\n| **Note:** Your Looker instance must be running Looker 25.4 or later to find Looker reports.\n\nTo search for a report, follow these steps:\n\n1. Place your cursor in the search **Start typing to search** search input box in the application header. If the application window is narrow, the input box will be replaced by a search **Search** icon.\n2. Enter your search term.\n3. In the **Reports** section of the search results, Looker displays a list of matching reports that you can access. Looker also displays the name of the report's parent folder next to the report name.\n4. Optionally, to view additional search results, click **Show More**.\n5. Select a report from the search results to view that report.\n\nUsing Looker reports\n--------------------\n\nLooker reports have most of the features of Looker Studio.
