If you don't want to install and run a StratoProbe collection in your infrastructure, you can manually upload your infrastructure data into StratoZone.
First, you need to create the data about your infrastructure, then you upload the data to the StratoZone portal where it is further processed and analyzed.
How to get your infrastructure data
To create the data, you can use the following methods:
- If your infrastructure is hosted on other cloud providers, such as AWS or Azure, use automated scripts to generate a compressed ZIP file that contains all the information about your infrastructure, including assets specifications, performance and utilization data.
- To manually fill in information about your infrastructure, use the templates provided in the StratoZone portal.
- To import data from your VMware assets, use the third-party tool RVTools to collect the data and import it in the StratoZone portal.
The following pages explain how to create and upload data to the StratoZone portal using these different methods.
