Some diagnostic messages identify performance issues with the\nBigtable table. Other messages highlight possible inaccuracies in the\nperformance data that you should consider as you review the Key Visualizer scan.\n\n\nBefore you read this page, you should be familiar with the\n[overview of Key Visualizer](/bigtable/docs/keyvis-overview).\n\nHigh read pressure\n------------------\n\nThe **High read pressure** message indicates that some key ranges in the table\nexperienced high read pressure. See [Warnings](/bigtable/docs/keyvis-metrics#warnings) for\ndetails.\n\n\nThis diagnostic message normally includes a **Warning**\nicon. If the issue was\ncaused by individual rows, rather than a range of rows, the message includes a **Danger**\nicon.\n\nHigh write pressure\n-------------------\n\nThe **High write pressure** message indicates that some key ranges in the table\nexperienced high write pressure. See [Warnings](/bigtable/docs/keyvis-metrics#warnings) for\ndetails.\n\n\nThis diagnostic message normally includes a **Warning**\nicon. If the issue was\ncaused by individual rows, rather than a range of rows, the message includes a **Danger**\nicon.\n\nLarge rows\n----------\n\nThe **Large rows** message indicates that some of the rows in the table contain\nmore than 256 MB of data or that some key ranges contain an\naverage of more than 200 MB of data per row.\n\nNo data scanned\n---------------\n\nThe **No data scanned** message indicates that Key Visualizer did not find any\nperformance data for the table. This message normally appears if the table does\nnot contain any data.\n\nKey space not to scale\n----------------------\n\nThe **Key space not to scale** message indicates that Key Visualizer could not\nevenly distribute the table's row keys into a smaller number of key buckets.\nSee [Key buckets](/bigtable/docs/keyvis-overview#key-buckets) for details.\n\nThis message normally appears if the table contains a small number of rows.\n| **Note:** Key space distribution is not related to how Bigtable stores your data. It merely reflects how Key Visualizer depicts the keys vertically.\n\nValues per row are approximate\n------------------------------\n\nThe **Values per row are approximate** message indicates that the heatmap may\ncontain inaccurate data for metrics that are expressed as per-row values. For\nexample, the **Read CPU** and **Write CPU** metrics measure the CPU usage per\nrow, so they are affected by this message.\n\nThis message appears if data in a table is growing or changing rapidly, and if\nmore than 5% of Key Visualizer's performance data is affected as a result.\n\nNot all details shown in tooltip\n--------------------------------\n\nThe **Not all details shown in tooltip** message indicates that there was a very\nlarge number of row keys or key ranges that generated warnings. As a result,\ndetails are not available for all of the warnings. Key Visualizer's tooltips\nwill show detailed information only for the most recent warnings.\n\nWhat's next\n-----------\n\n- [Get started with Key Visualizer](/bigtable/docs/keyvis-getting-started).\n- Learn [how Key Visualizer displays data in heatmaps](/bigtable/docs/keyvis-overview#heatmaps).\n- Find out [how to explore Key Visualizer heatmaps](/bigtable/docs/keyvis-exploring-heatmaps)."]]
