Mit der Verwaltungskonsole können Sie die Verwaltung einer VM von einer Sicherungs-/Wiederherstellungs-Appliance auf eine Ziel-Appliance übertragen. Bei diesem Vorgang wird die Verwaltung der VM auf die angegebene Zielanwendung für Sicherung und Wiederherstellung übertragen, wie im Fenster Sicherungsplan verschieben definiert.
Die Übertragung der VM-Verwaltung zwischen zwei Appliances ist auf VMs beschränkt, die sich auf demselben vCenter- oder ESX-Host befinden. Nur Appliances, die VMs im selben vCenter- oder ESX-Host verwalten, können Ziel-Appliances für die Übertragung von Sicherungsplänen sein.
Diese Geräte werden in der Liste der möglichen Zielgeräte angezeigt.
VM-Verwaltung auf ein anderes Gerät übertragen
Folgen Sie dieser Anleitung, um eine VM von einem Gerät auf ein anderes zu verschieben:
Klicken Sie in der Verwaltungskonsole für den Backup and DR Service auf App Manager und wählen Sie aus der Drop-down-Liste Applications aus.
Die Seite Anwendungen wird geöffnet.
Wählen Sie die VM aus, die Sie verschieben möchten, und wählen Sie dann in der Drop-down-Liste unten rechts im Fenster Sicherungsplan verschieben aus.
Das Fenster Sicherungsplan verschieben wird geöffnet. Die ausgewählte VM kann verwaltet oder nicht verwaltet sein. Sie können eine VM verschieben, ohne sie zuerst mit einem Sicherungsplan zu verwalten.
Wählen Sie das Zielgerät, das Ressourcenprofil und die Richtlinienvorlage aus.
Klicken Sie auf Sicherungsplan verschieben.
Die Meldung zur Sicherung wird während der Übertragung geöffnet.
Nach Abschluss der Migration wird die Meldung „Migration abgeschlossen“ angezeigt.
vCenter umbenennen
Wenn Sie den Namen eines vCenter ändern, müssen Sie das vCenter auch in der Verwaltungskonsole umbenennen.
So benennen Sie ein vCenter in der Management Console um:
Klicken Sie auf Verwalten und wählen Sie Hosts aus.
Suchen Sie Ihren vCenter-Host und wählen Sie die Option Bearbeiten aus.
Aktualisieren Sie das Feld Name und wählen Sie Speichern aus.
Auswirkungen der Änderung der UUID einer VM.
Wenn sich die UUID einer verwalteten VM ändert, wird beim nächsten Sicherungsjob eine neue vollständige Kopie erstellt. Das liegt daran, dass die UUID eine Schlüsselkennung ist und eine geänderte UUID bedeuten könnte, dass es sich um eine völlig neue VM handelt.

Click **Move Backup Plan**.\n\n The moving backup message opens during the move.\n | **Note:** If the VM on the source appliance is managed with a StreamSnap replication policy, and the replication target---including the VM to move---exists on the target appliance, then management console prevents the backup plan move and generates an error message. This occurs because the VM already exists on the target appliance as part of the replication process, where a full copy of data is created at the remote site.\n\n Once migration is complete, the migration complete message displays.\n | **Note:** If the move is not successful, the management console displays a **Move Backup Plan Failed** message along with an explanation of the failure as related to the target appliance. If possible, resolve the issue and attempt to move the backup plan again.\n\nRename a vCenter\n----------------\n\nIf you change the name of a vCenter, then remember to rename the vCenter within\nthe management console.\n\nUse these instructions to rename a vCenter in management console:\n\n1. Click **Manage** and select **Hosts**.\n2. Find your vCenter host and select the **Edit** option.\n3. Update the **Name** field, and select **Save**.\n\n### Effect of changing the UUID of a VM.\n\nIf the UUID of a managed VM changes, then a new full copy occurs on the\nnext backup job.
