Discovery for Media has been renamed to media recommendations. It is now part of Vertex AI Search, and you can manage it using the Search and Conversation console. We recommend that you use the Search and Conversation console. After March 31, 2024, the Discovery Engine console will no longer be available.

Turn off Discovery Engine

Turning off Discovery Engine stops billing, and there is no guarantee that your data related to Discovery Engine will persist. As always, if you delete the project, then all data is deleted according to the deletion policy for projects.

To turn off Discovery Engine, follow these steps:

In the Google Cloud console, go to the Discovery Engine API Service Details page.

Go to the Discovery Engine API Service Details page
Click Disable API.
In the Disable Discovery Engine API? box, click Disable.
