Turning off Vertex AI Search stops billing for AI Applications. After
it is turned off, there is no guarantee that your data related to it will
persist. If you delete the project, then all data is deleted according to the
deletion policy for projects.
Because AI Applications, Vertex AI Search,
Google Agentspace are based on
the Discovery Engine API, disabling the Discovery Engine API turns off
all these products and any code that calls the Discovery Engine API fails.
To disable the Discovery Engine API, follow these steps:
