Menambahkan host database dan menemukan database serta instance

Sebelum dapat mencadangkan database, tambahkan host ke konsol manajemen terlebih dahulu dan temukan database atau instance-nya. Gunakan langkah-langkah
berikut:
Menginstal agen Pencadangan dan DR di server database
Agen Pencadangan dan DR, layanan ringan dengan footprint kecil di server,
digunakan untuk mengambil salinan database yang konsisten dengan aplikasi. Fitur ini menggunakan
pelacakan blok perubahan untuk mengidentifikasi perubahan pada data database untuk strategi pengambilan
induktif abadi Pencadangan dan DR. Semua server database yang memiliki data yang akan
dilindungi oleh Pencadangan dan DR harus menginstal agen Pencadangan dan DR.
Setelah host ditambahkan, edit host untuk menetapkan format disk staging:
Klik kanan host, lalu pilih Edit.
Di halaman Edit Host, pilih format disk staging:
Block: Disk staging berbasis blok diperlukan untuk pencadangan tingkat volume.
Pencadangan tingkat volume ini paling berguna untuk pencadangan dan pemulihan serta
penggunaan TDM. Pelacakan blok yang diubah untuk pencadangan dan DR hanya tersedia di
disk staging berbasis blok, dan database virtual hanya dapat dipasang ke
disk staging berbasis blok.
NFS: Disk staging NFS hanya mengizinkan pencadangan berbasis file.
Pilih Simpan di bagian bawah halaman Edit Penyelenggara.
Menemukan aplikasi database atau instance dari Pengelola Aplikasi
Gunakan petunjuk berikut untuk menemukan dan melindungi database atau instance:
Klik App Manager>Applications, lalu pilih
Add Application.
Di wizard Tambahkan Aplikasi, pilih jenis database, lalu
ikuti langkah-langkah dalam wizard.
Menemukan database atau instance yang ditemukan di Pengelola Aplikasi
Untuk menemukan instance yang baru ditemukan dan database-nya, buka halaman App Manager>Applications di konsol pengelolaan. Semua aplikasi
yang diketahui oleh konsol pengelolaan dari semua jenis akan dicantumkan. Anda dapat menggunakan filter aplikasi Jenis di panel kiri untuk hanya menampilkan instance dan database yang diinginkan. Database baru atau instance dan databasenya

Right-click the host and select **Edit**.\n\n2. On the **Edit Host** page, select the staging disk format:\n\n - **Block**: Block-based staging disks are required for volume-level backups. These volume-level backups are the most useful for both backup and recovery and TDM usage. Backup and DR changed-block tracking is only available on block-based staging disks, and virtual databases can only be mounted to block-based staging disks.\n - **NFS**: NFS staging disks permit only file-based backup.\n3. Select **Save** at the bottom of **Edit Host** page.\n\nDiscover the database or instance application from the App Manager\n------------------------------------------------------------------\n\nUse the following instructions to discover and protect the database or instance:\n\n1. Click **App Manager** \\\u003e **Applications** , then select\n **Add Application**.\n\n2. In the **Add Application** wizard, select the database type and then\n follow the steps in the wizard.\n\nFind the discovered database or instance in the App Manager\n-----------------------------------------------------------\n\nTo find the newly-discovered instance and its databases, go to the management\nconsole **App Manager** \\\u003e **Applications** page. All applications\nknown to the management console of all types are listed. You can use the\n**Type** application filter on the left pane to show only the instances and\ndatabases of interest.
