Regardless of your wire group's topology, you need\nquota that is equal to the bandwidth setting for the wire group.\n\nThe following table includes example configurations for wire groups that\nare configured with an unmetered bandwidth value of 1 Gbps.\n\nReview the following example and determine the values required for your planned\nconfiguration. Then, continue to the following sections to check your values\nagainst the quotas and limits.\n\nIn the preceding examples, if the wire group is in port mode you can only use\none wire group with each set of ports. If the wire group is in VLAN mode, you\ncan optionally create a second wire group on some or all of the same ports\nif you have remaining connection capacity and quota. Keep in mind that creating\na second wire group increases the quota required between metros.\n\nCheck your quota for bandwidth per Cloud Interconnect metro pair\n----------------------------------------------------------------\n\nTo check your quota, follow these steps:\n\n1. In the Google Cloud console, go to the **Quotas** page.\n\n\n [Go to Quotas](https://console.cloud.google.com/iam-admin/quotas)\n\n \u003cbr /\u003e\n\n2. View the quota for\n [**Wire groups unmetered bandwidth per Interconnect metro pair**](https://console.cloud.google.com/iam-admin/quotas?service=compute.googleapis.com&metric=compute.googleapis.com/wire_groups_gold_unmetered_bandwidth_gbps). There is a separate quota for each pair of metros.\n\n3. In the **Dimensions** column, identify the pair of metros that you want to\n connect, for example `Ashburn|Chicago`, and check the **Value** column.\n\n4. If the bandwidth between metros in your planned configuration exceeds your current quota, follow the instructions to [Request additional quota](/network-connectivity/docs/interconnect/quotas#requesting-additional-quota).\n\nReview the limit for bandwidth per wire\n---------------------------------------\n\nThe limit for the *Maximum bandwidth per wire* is 1 Gbps.\n\nIf your bandwidth per wire in your planned configuration exceeds the limit,\n[file a support case](/support-hub) to request an increase."]]
