Há duas partes para começar a usar os databases Oracle com o Backup e DR: adicionar o host do servidor Oracle ao console de gerenciamento e descobrir os databases Oracle.
Adicionar o host
Adicione o host ao console de gerenciamento. Se o host já tiver sido adicionado, edite-o e defina todas as configurações corretamente.
Clique em Gerenciar>Hosts e em + Adicionar host.
Na página Adicionar host, faça o seguinte:
Nome: informe o nome do servidor de banco de dados.
Endereço IP: informe o IP do servidor de banco de dados e clique no sinal de adição (+).
Eletrodomésticos: marque a caixa de seleção do eletrodoméstico.
Tipo de host: verifique se é Genérico.
Clique em Adicionar para adicionar o host. O host é adicionado.
Clique com o botão direito do mouse no host e selecione Editar.
Deixe o Formato do disco de preparo como Bloco.
Insira o nome de usuário e a senha que você configurou anteriormente em
Credenciais de descoberta de aplicativos.
Selecione Salvar.

Use estas instruções para descobrir e proteger os aplicativos de banco de dados:
Clique em Gerenciador de apps>Aplicativos e selecione Adicionar aplicativo.
Selecione Oracle no assistente Adicionar aplicativo.
Siga as instruções do assistente. Na seção Selecionar, escolha o banco de dados para fazer backup e, na seção Gerenciar, aplique o modelo de política e o perfil de recurso que você criou em Definir modelos de política e perfis de recursos.
O banco de dados aparece na lista Aplicativos do App Manager com um escudo verde indicando que o plano de backup foi aplicado.
O aplicativo só será capturado quando o job programado for executado de acordo
com o horário de funcionamento definido no modelo de backup. Por exemplo, se às 10h (UTC) você atribuir um modelo com horário de funcionamento das 2h (UTC) às 5h (UTC), o primeiro job não vai começar até que o aparelho tenha um slot de job disponível às 2h (UTC) do dia seguinte. captura sob demanda.

If the host is already added, then\nedit the host and make sure to set all the configurations correctly.\n| **Note:** If you have added the Windows server to Backup and DR as a Compute Engine instance or as a VMware VM, then a host for this VM already exists and you don't need to add it again using the following procedure. Instead find and edit that host.\n\n1. Click **Manage** \\\u003e **Hosts** , then click **+ Add Host**.\n\n2. On the **Add Host** page complete the following:\n\n - **Name**: Provide the database server name.\n\n - **IP Address** : Provide the database server IP and click the\n **plus sign (+)**.\n\n - **Appliances**: Select the checkbox for the appliance.\n\n - **Host Type** : Make sure this is **Generic**.\n\n3. Click **Add** to add the host. The host is added.\n\n4. Right-click the host and select **Edit**.\n\n5. Leave the **Staging Disk Format** as **Block**.\n\n6. Enter the username and password that you set up previous in\n **Application Discovery Credentials**.\n\n7. Select **Save**.\n\nDiscover and protect the Oracle database application\n----------------------------------------------------\n\nUse these instructions to discover and protect the database applications:\n\n1. Click **App Manager** \\\u003e **Applications** , then select\n **Add Application**.\n\n2. Select **Oracle** in the **Add Application** wizard.\n\n3. Follow the wizard. In the **Select** section, select the database to back up,\n and then in the **Manage** section, apply the policy template and the\n resource profile that you created in\n [Define policy templates and resource profiles](/backup-disaster-recovery/docs/concepts/backup-plan-policy-best-practices).\n\n4. To protect the database logs, see [Database log protection in a backup plan policy](/backup-disaster-recovery/docs/concepts/backup-plan-policy-best-practices#Log-protection).\n\n5. Click **Application Settings** in the **Configure** section.\n\n6. Select the backup capture method based on your needs and the information in\n [Protect the Oracle environment against data loss, errors, and corruption](/backup-disaster-recovery/docs/concepts/oracle-intro)\n in the **Application Settings** window.\n\n In the **Application Settings** tab, you can change\n [application-specific settings](/backup-disaster-recovery/docs/create-plan/oracle-advanced-settings).\n7. Click **Save** , then **Next** , then **Finish**.\n\n8. You can see the database in the **App Manager Applications** list with a\n green shield indicating that the backup plan has been applied.\n\nThe application may not be captured until the scheduled job runs according\nto the hours of operation defined in the backup template. For example, if at\n10:00 (UTC) you assign a template that has hours of operation from 02:00 (UTC)\nto 05:00 (UTC), then the first job doesn't start until the appliance has an\navailable job slot at 02:00 (UTC) of the following day. To run a job\nimmediately, perform an\n[on-demand capture](/backup-disaster-recovery/docs/monitor-reports/monitor-jobs#run).\n\nYou don't have to apply a backup plan right now.
