Jede Sicherungs-/Wiederherstellungs-Appliance hat einen primären Pool, der Metadaten und Logdateien für die Sicherungs-/Wiederherstellungs-Appliance enthält. Im primären Pool werden keine Nutzerdaten oder Sicherungen gespeichert.
Laufwerk für den primären Pool erstellen
Sie können den vorhandenen primären Pool durch Hinzufügen zusätzlicher Laufwerke erweitern.
Die folgenden Berechtigungen sind erforderlich, um ein Laufwerk für die Verwendung mit einem primären Pool zu erstellen:
compute.disks.create für das Projekt, um ein neues Laufwerk erstellen zu können
compute.instances.attachDisk für die VM-Instanz
compute.disks.use für das Laufwerk, das angehängt wird
So erstellen Sie ein Laufwerk für einen primären Pool:
Google Cloud Rufen Sie in der Console die Seite VM-Instanzen auf und suchen Sie nach Ihrer Sicherungs-/Wiederherstellungs-Appliance.
Klicken Sie das Kästchen an und klicken Sie auf den Namen der Instanz, der Sie ein Laufwerk hinzufügen möchten.
Klicken Sie auf der Seite VM-Instanzdetails auf Bearbeiten.
Klicken Sie unter Zusätzliche Laufwerke auf Laufwerk hinzufügen.
Geben Sie Folgendes an:
Name: Geben Sie einen Namen für das Laufwerk ein. Orientieren Sie sich dabei an der Benennung der vorhandenen Laufwerke.
Quelle: Wählen Sie als Quelltyp die Option Leeres Laufwerk aus.
Laufwerkstyp: Wählen Sie einen Laufwerkstyp aus, der mit den vorhandenen Laufwerken im primären Pool übereinstimmt.
Größe: Wir empfehlen, dass primäre Poollaufwerke immer 200 GB groß sind.
Zeitplan für Snapshots: Lassen Sie den Zeitplan für Snapshots bei der Standardeinstellung.
Verschlüsselung: Sie können die Verschlüsselung als von Google verwalteten Verschlüsselungsschlüssel (Google-Managed Encryption Key, GMEK) oder als vom Kunden verwalteten Verschlüsselungsschlüssel (Customer-Managed Encryption Key, CMEK) angeben. Verwenden Sie immer denselben Verschlüsselungstyp für alle Laufwerke im primären Pool.
Klicken Sie auf Speichern, um die Konfiguration des Laufwerks abzuschließen.
Klicken Sie auf Speichern, um die Änderungen für die Instanz zu übernehmen und das neue Laufwerk hinzuzufügen.
Nachdem Sie der Appliance ein zusätzliches Laufwerk hinzugefügt haben, können Sie den vorhandenen primären Pool erweitern.
Primären Pool erweitern
Wenn Sie einen vorhandenen Primärpool erweitern möchten, müssen Sie zuerst einen neuen Datenträger erstellen und dann die folgenden Schritte ausführen:
Klicken Sie auf den Tab Verwalten und wählen Sie im Drop-down-Menü die Option Haushaltsgeräte aus.
Wählen Sie ein Gerät aus und klicken Sie auf Gerät konfigurieren, um die Seite „Gerätekonfiguration“ zu öffnen.
Wählen Sie im linken Bereich Speicherpools aus.
Wählen Sie den Tab Primär aus. Die Seite „Primäre Pools“ wird geöffnet.
Suchen Sie den Pool und wählen Sie das Stiftsymbol aus. Das Fenster „Primären Pool verwalten“ wird geöffnet.
Wählen Sie in der Liste der nicht verwalteten Laufwerke die MDisk(s) aus, die in diesen Pool aufgenommen werden sollen, indem Sie auf das entsprechende Pluszeichen klicken. Verwenden Sie die Suchoption, um die erforderlichen MDisks zu finden. Die ausgewählten MDisks werden im rechten Bereich angezeigt.
Wenn Sie den Mauszeiger auf einen MDisk-Eintrag bewegen, wird der Status angezeigt, einschließlich UID, Controller und Kapazität.
Klicken Sie auf Senden.
Ein Warndialogfeld wird angezeigt. Geben Sie FORTSETZEN ein, um zu bestätigen.
Klicken Sie auf Bestätigen.
Auswirkungen beim Deaktivieren oder Löschen von CMEKs
Wenn eine Sicherungs-/Wiederherstellungs-Appliance nichtflüchtige Laufwerke verwendet, die mit vom Kunden verwalteten Verschlüsselungsschlüsseln (CMEK) verschlüsselt sind, gilt Folgendes:
Wenn die Schlüsselversion, die von einem an die Sicherungs-/Wiederherstellungs-Appliance angeschlossenen Laufwerk verwendet wird, deaktiviert oder gelöscht wird, kann die Sicherungs-/Wiederherstellungs-Appliance nicht eingeschaltet werden. Schlüsselversion ansehen
So ermitteln Sie, welche Schlüsselversion von einer Sicherungs-/Wiederherstellungs-Appliance verwendet wird:
Gehen Sie zu Compute Engine > VM-Instanzen.
Suchen Sie die Sicherungs-/Wiederherstellungs-Appliance und wählen Sie den Instanznamen aus, um die Detailansicht für diese Instanz zu öffnen.
Rufen Sie den Bereich Speicher auf und prüfen Sie alle angeschlossenen Laufwerke.
Wählen Sie den Namen jedes Laufwerks aus, um die Schlüsselversion aufzurufen.

On the **VM instance details** page, click **Edit**.\n4. Under **Additional disks** , click **Add new disk**.\n5. Specify the following:\n\n - **Name**: Enter a name for the disk using the existing disk naming as a model.\n - **Source** : Select the **Blank** for the **Source type**.\n - **Disk type**: Select a disk type that matches the existing disks in the primary pool.\n - **Size**: We recommend primary pool disks are always 200GB in size.\n - **Snapshot schedule**: Leave the snapshot schedule to default.\n - **Encryption**: You can specify the encryption as Google-managed encryption key (GMEK) or Customer-managed encryption key (CMEK). Always use the same encryption type for all disks in the primary pool.\n6. Click **Save** to complete the disk's configuration.\n\n7. Click **Save** to apply your changes to the instance and add the new disk.\n\n| **Note:** Don't resize existing disks that are already assigned to the appliance. Always add new disks if additional capacity is required.\n\nWhen you have added an additional disk to the appliance proceed to expand\nthe existing primary pool.\n\n### Expand the primary pool\n\nTo expand an existing primary pool, first you need to [create a new disk](#disk),\nand then follow these steps:\n\n1. Click the **Manage** tab and select **Appliances** from the drop-down menu.\n2. Select an appliance and click **Configure Appliance** to open the Appliance Configuration page.\n3. From the left panel, select **Storage Pools**.\n4. Select the **Primary** tab. The Primary Pools page opens.\n5. Find the pool and select the pencil icon. The Manage Primary Pool window opens.\n6. Select the **MDisk(s)** to include in this pool from the list of unmanaged disks by clicking on the appropriate + symbol. Use the search option to find the required MDisk(s). Selected MDisks appear in the right-hand panel. You can hold the mouse cursor over an MDisk record to see its status, including UID, controller, capacity, and more.\n7. Click **Submit**. A warning dialog appears. Type PROCEED to confirm.\n8. Click **Confirm**.\n\n | **Note:** You cannot shrink an existing pool by removing MDisks. You can only expand a pool.\n\n### Impact of disabling or deleting CMEKs\n\nIf a backup/recovery appliance uses persistent disks that are encrypted with\nCustomer Managed Encryption Keys (CMEK) then:\n\n- If the key version is rotated, the attached disk will remain encrypted with the older key version. See [Rotate your Cloud KMS encryption key for a\n persistent disk](/compute/docs/disks/customer-managed-encryption#rotate_encryption).\n- If the key version in use by any disk attached to the backup/recovery appliance is disabled or deleted then the backup/recovery appliance won't be able to power on. See [Disabling or deleting CMEKs](/compute/docs/disks/customer-managed-encryption#impact_of_disabling_or_deleting_cmeks).\n\n#### View key version\n\nTo determine which key version is in use by a backup/recovery appliance:\n\n1. Go to **Compute Engine** \\\u003e **VM instances**.\n2. Locate the backup/recovery appliance and select the instance name to open the details view for that instance.\n3.
