select or create a Google Cloud project.

Cloud Workstations werden auf VMs gehostet, die von den vorkonfigurierten öffentlichen Container-Optimized OS (COS)-Images von Compute Engine gebootet werden. Wenn die Organisationsrichtlinienbeschränkung constraints/compute.trustedimageProjects erzwungen wird, müssen Sie Beschränkungen für den Bildzugriff festlegen, damit Nutzer Bootlaufwerke aus projects/cos-cloud oder allen öffentlichen Images erstellen können.
Optional:Aktivieren Sie die Container File System API, um den Start von Workstations zu beschleunigen.
Workstationcluster definieren eine Gruppe von Workstations in einer bestimmten Region, verwalten Workstations während ihres Lebenszyklus und bieten konfigurierbare Netzwerkverbindungen.
Workstation-Cluster haben keinen Bezug zu Google Kubernetes Engine-Clustern (GKE).
So erstellen Sie einen Workstation-Cluster:
Rufen Sie in der Console die Seite Cloud Workstations>Clusterverwaltung auf.
Klicken Sie auf der Seite Clusterverwaltung der Workstations auf add_boxErstellen.
Geben Sie im Feld Name einen Namen für den Workstation-Cluster ein.
Wählen Sie die Region aus, die Ihnen am nächsten ist.
Optional: Wenn Sie Ihre Workstations in einer VPC erstellen möchten, maximieren Sie den Bereich Netzwerkeinstellungen und wählen Sie Ihr benutzerdefiniertes Netzwerk aus.
Geben Sie im Feld Netzwerk den Namen für Ihr Netzwerk ein, z. B. test-network.
Geben Sie im Feld Subnetzwerk den Namen für Ihr Subnetzwerk ein, z. B. test-subnetwork.
Wählen Sie im Bereich Gateway-TypÖffentliches Gateway oder Privates Gateway aus.
Wenn Sie Ihre Workstations über öffentliche Netzwerke zugänglich machen möchten, wählen Sie Öffentliches Gateway aus.
Wenn Sie Datenspeicherort für Daten während der Übertragung benötigen, wählen Sie Privates Gateway aus.
Wenn Sie eingehenden und ausgehenden Traffic zum Workstationdienst nur aus dem ausgewählten Netzwerk zulassen möchten, wählen Sie Privates Gateway aus.

Klicken Sie auf Erstellen, um den Cluster zu erstellen.
Das Erstellen eines Workstation-Clusters kann bis zu 20 Minuten dauern, ist in den meisten Fällen aber nur einmal erforderlich.

So löschen Sie einen Workstation-Cluster aus der Google Cloud Console:
Rufen Sie in der Google Cloud Console Cloud Workstations > Cluster auf.
Klicken Sie auf das Kästchen neben dem Cluster, den Sie löschen möchten.
Klicken Sie auf das Menü more_vertWeitere Optionen und wählen Sie Löschen aus, um den ausgewählten Workstation-Cluster zu löschen.

In the console,\n navigate to the **Cloud Workstations** \\\u003e\n **Cluster management** page.\n\n\n [Go to Cluster management](https://console.cloud.google.com/workstations/clusters)\n\n \u003cbr /\u003e\n\n2. From the workstations **Cluster management** page, click\n add_box**Create**.\n\n3. In the **Name** field, enter a name for your workstation cluster.\n\n4. Select the **Region** that is closest to you.\n\n5. Optional: To create your workstations inside a\n [VPC](/vpc/docs/vpc),\n expand the **Network settings** section and select your custom network.\n\n 1. In the **Network** field, enter the name for your network---for example,\n `test-network`.\n\n 2. In the **Subnetwork** field, enter the name for your subnetwork---for\n example, `test-subnetwork`.\n\n 3. In the **Gateway type** section, select **Public gateway** or\n **Private gateway**.\n\n - To make your workstations accessible from public networks, select\n **Public gateway**.\n\n - If you require [data residency](/assured-workloads/docs/data-residency)\n for data in transit, select **Private gateway**.\n\n - To allow ingress and egress to the workstations service from inside\n the selected network, select **Private gateway** .\n For more information about creating a private clusters, see\n [Configure VPC Service Controls and private clusters](/workstations/docs/configure-vpc-service-controls-private-clusters)\n\n6. Click **Create**, which begins the cluster creation process.\n\nWorkstation cluster creation can take up to 20 minutes, but in most\ncases is only needed once.\n\n\nClean up\n--------\n\nTo delete a workstation cluster from the Google Cloud console:\n\n1. In the Google Cloud console, go to **Cloud Workstations \\\u003e Clusters**.\n2. Select the checkbox beside the cluster that you want to delete.\n3.
