You can use Cloud Marketplace to list and sell professional services that you offer to customers.
To sell your professional services to a customer, you (or a Google Cloud reseller) use Private Offers to create a custom quote and send it to your customer.
You can offer professional services with subscription plans, usage-based pricing, or a combination of pricing models.
Requirements for professional services
All products that you offer through Cloud Marketplace must comply with the Cloud Marketplace listing requirements. If you offer professional services, you must meet the following requirements:
- Cloud Marketplace must be able to use the agency transaction model for your private offers that include professional services products. For more details, see Agency model requirements.
- The professional services that you offer must fall under one of the
following categories:
- Assessment: Evaluation of the customer's current operating environment to find the right solutions for their organization.
- Implementation: Help with configuration, setup, and deployment of third-party software.
- Premium support: Access to guidance and assistance from experts, designed for the customer's needs.
- Managed services: End-to-end environment management on the customer's behalf.
- Training: Tailored workshops, programs, and educational tools provided by experts to help customers' employees learn best practices.
- The professional services that you offer aren't specifically regulated under applicable laws, such as legal, pharmaceutical, financial investment, or accounting services.
Overview of onboarding professional services
To offer professional services through Cloud Marketplace, use Producer Portal to create a professional services product listing for Cloud Marketplace. This involves the following steps:
- Create your product in Producer Portal.
- Add product details for your professional services product's Cloud Marketplace listing.
- Choose and submit your pricing model.
- Complete your technical integration.
- Publish your product to Cloud Marketplace.
After you click to publish your product, it might take up to two days for your product's listing to be publicly accessible in Cloud Marketplace.
While your product's listing is publicly accessible in Cloud Marketplace, for customers to be able to purchase your professional services, you (or a reseller) must create private offers for your customers.
Create your workspace for Cloud Marketplace products
We recommend that you create a new project in the
Google Cloud console primarily for your
Cloud Marketplace products. For the project ID, use the format
PARTNER_NAME-public
. For information about creating projects, see
Creating and managing projects.
If you already have a project for your current Cloud Marketplace products, you can re-use that project.
Submit information about your product
Before you begin setting up and integrating your product, you must complete the Cloud Marketplace Project Info Form.
After you complete the form, your Partner Engineer gives you access to Producer Portal.
