Supported SAP systems

This document provides the list of SAP systems and architectures that you can monitor using the observability service in Workload Manager.

This section lists the SAP systems and operating systems that Workload Manager supports for observability.

Supported operating systems

Workload Manager supports the following operating systems that are certified by SAP for production use with SAP on Google Cloud. For a complete list of versions of the supported operating systems, see Supported operating systems.

  • RHEL for SAP
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) for SAP

Supported architecture

Architecture Description
Centralized An SAP system that uses a single compute instance to run all its components.
Distributed An SAP system that uses multiple compute instances to run its components.
ASCS, PAS, application and database servers are running on separate compute instances.
Distributed with high availability (HA) An SAP system using a distributed deployment model across two zones, with application servers running across two zones.
Set up the SAP system across multiple zones.
Standalone SAP HANA database An SAP HANA database on a single compute instance.
Standalone HANA database with high availability (HA) An SAP HANA database using a distributed deployment model across two zones.
