Aggiungere e aggiornare i dati

Questo documento spiega come impostare, aggiungere o aggiornare singoli documenti in Firestore. Per scrivere i dati collettivamente, consulta Transazioni e scritture collettive.

Panoramica

Puoi scrivere dati in Firestore in uno dei seguenti modi:

  • Imposta i dati di un documento all'interno di una raccolta, specificando esplicitamente un identificativo del documento.
  • Aggiungi un nuovo documento a una raccolta. In questo caso, Firestore genera automaticamente l'identificatore del documento.
  • Crea un documento vuoto con un identificatore generato automaticamente e assegna i dati in un secondo momento.

Prima di iniziare

Prima di poter inizializzare Firestore per impostare, aggiungere o aggiornare i dati, devi completare i seguenti passaggi:

Se non sai con certezza se il documento esiste, passa l'opzione per unire i nuovi dati a un documento esistente per evitare di sovrascrivere interi documenti. Per i documenti che contengono mappe, se specifichi un insieme con un campo contenente una mappa vuota, il campo mappa del documento di destinazione viene sovrascritto.

Tipi di dati

Firestore ti consente di scrivere diversi tipi di dati all'interno di un documento, tra cui stringhe, valori booleani, numeri, date, null, nonché array e oggetti nidificati. Firestore memorizza sempre i numeri come doppi, indipendentemente dal tipo di numero utilizzato nel codice.
