For more information, see\n [Modify a project's billing settings](/billing/docs/how-to/modify-project).\n\n | **Caution:** When you disable billing for a project, you also disable all product resources in that project.\n\nFor information about Cloud Domains billing issues, see\n[Billing issues](/domains/docs/troubleshooting#billing).\n\nI just registered a domain. How will I be billed?\n-------------------------------------------------\n\nMost new registrations are billed with\n[Subscription billing](/domains/pricing#subscription-billing).\n\nIf your Cloud Billing account's address is in Brazil, you are billed with\n[Commitment billing](/domains/pricing#commitment-billing).\n\nI just transferred a domain from another provider. How frequently do I get billed?\n----------------------------------------------------------------------------------\n\n\n| **Caution:** Transferring a registered domain from a third-party domain registrar to Cloud Domains is deprecated and removed. For more information, see [Google Domains feature deprecation](/domains/docs/deprecations/feature-deprecations).\n\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n\nTransferred-in domains are billed immediately for a year when transfer\ncompletes. Transferring also extends the registration period by one year.\nFor details, see\n[Billing for transferred-in domains](/domains/pricing#billing-for-transferred-in-domains).\n\n**Example scenario**\n\nSuppose that you register a domain with another provider in September 2021 at\n$10 per year. The domain is set to expire in September 2022. You transfer it to\nCloud Domains in December 2021.\nCloud Domains charges you $10 at the time of transfer. Your\nregistration is extended for one year until September 2023.\nYour next billing event is September 2023, when you are charged $10 to extend\nthe registration for a year until September 2024.\n\nIn this example, you are charged $10 three times and get three years of\nregistration.\n\nHow will I be billed for renewals?\n----------------------------------\n\nWhen any domain in the project reaches its expiry and is automatically renewed,\nthe renewals are also billed at annual rates during the next monthly billing\ncycle following the renewal.\n\nTo turn off automatic renewal of your domain, see\n[Turn off automatic renewal for a domain name](/domains/docs/edit-registration-settings#turn-off-renew).\n\nIf I renew my domain within 30 days of expiry, what will the renewal cost be?\n-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\n\nIf you renew your domain within 30 days of its expiry, the domain's validity\nextends for one year from the original expiry date, and you are charged the\nyearly price.\n\nFor more information, see [Renew a recently\nexpired domain](/domains/docs/renew-expired-domain).\n\nHow do I discontinue my domain registration?\n--------------------------------------------\n\nYou can turn off automatic renewal at any time. You won't be billed when your\ndomain reaches its expiry date.\n\nWhy am I being charged differently for different domains?\n---------------------------------------------------------\n\nPrices vary based on domain endings (TLDs). For example, if you buy\n`example.wiki`, `example.charity`, and `example.info`, the yearly cost of each of\nthese domains differs because the domain endings `.wiki`, `.charity`, and `.info`\nhave different costs. For detailed pricing information, see the\n[Cloud Domains pricing page](/domains/pricing)."]]
