May 29, 2025

On May 29, 2025, we released an updated version of Apigee APIM Operator.

Apigee APIM Operator for Kubernetes (v1.0) is Generally Available (GA)

The Apigee APIM Operator for Kubernetes allows you to perform API management tasks using Kubernetes tools. It is designed to support cloud-native developers by providing a command-line interface that integrates with familiar Kubernetes tools like kubectl. The operator works by using various APIM resources to keep your Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) cluster synchronized with the Apigee runtime.

With this release, the APIM Operator supports the following new policies:

In addition, the new defaultSecurityEnabled field in the APIMExtensionPolicy lets you control whether default security is enabled when the policy is applied.

For more information, see Apigee APIM Operator for Kubernetes overview.

The Apigee APIM Operator for Kubernetes (v1.0) and its resources are not backward compatible with the v1alpha1 version of the APIM Operator (or its resources) made available in the Public Preview.
