Or you might need to limit certain quotas. If you\nexpect a notable upcoming increase in usage, make your request to increase\nyour quotas a few days in advance to ensure that your quotas are adequately\nsized.\n| **Note:** To request additional quotas, your user account must have the `serviceusage.quotas.update` permission. This permission is included by default for the following [predefined roles](/iam/docs/understanding-roles): Owner, Editor, and Quota Administrator.\n\n1. In the [Quotas](https://console.cloud.google.com/iam-admin/quotas) page,\n select **Vertex AI Search for Retail API** in the **Services** dropdown list.\n\n2. Select the quotas you want to change.\n\n3. Click **EDIT QUOTAS**.\n\n4. Fill out your name, email, and phone number and click **Next**.\n\n5. Fill in your quota request and click **Submit request**.\n\nYou will receive a response from the Vertex AI Search for commerce team within\n48 hours of your request.\n\nLimits\n------\n\nThe following limits are enforced:\n\n-\n You can start up to five model operations per minute. Limited model operations\n include creation, deletion, pause, and resume.\n\n- Your site can have up to 250,000 user event writes per visitor ID or user ID\n per week.\n\n- Your site can have up to 10,000 product writes per product ID per week and one\n product write per product ID per second. Too frequent updates on the same\n product are unexpected, and the additional updates might be rejected with\n a `RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED` error."]]
