Method: keyRings.create

Full name: projects.locations.keyRings.create

Create a new KeyRing in a given Project and Location.

The URLs use gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Path parameters

Parameters
parent

string

Required. The resource name of the location associated with the KeyRings, in the format projects/*/locations/*.

Authorization requires the following IAM permission on the specified resource parent:

  • cloudkms.keyRings.create

Query parameters

keyRingId

string

Required. It must be unique within a location and match the regular expression [a-zA-Z0-9_-]{1,63}

Request body

The request body contains an instance of KeyRing.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains a newly created instance of KeyRing.

Authorization scopes

Requires one of the following OAuth scopes:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloudkms
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform
