Method: projects.locations.lakes.zones.entities.create

Create a metadata entity.

POST https://dataplex.googleapis.com/v1/{parent=projects/*/locations/*/lakes/*/zones/*}/entities

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Path parameters

Parameters
parent

string

Required. The resource name of the parent zone: projects/{project_number}/locations/{locationId}/lakes/{lakeId}/zones/{zoneId}.

Authorization requires the following IAM permission on the specified resource parent:

  • dataplex.entities.create

Query parameters

Parameters
validateOnly

boolean

Optional. Only validate the request, but do not perform mutations. The default is false.

Request body

The request body contains an instance of Entity.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains a newly created instance of Entity.

Requires the following OAuth scope:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform
