Product recommendations

Overview

Product recommendations focus on helpful and educational tips that help you determine the best products to use in your Google Cloud journey. These recommendations help you with determining which Google Cloud products can help you achieve your business goals and provide you helpful resources (like product videos or documentation) to learn more about those products. As you continue to use Google Cloud, you may see recommendations for products that you do not currently use but can help you address your business and workload needs.

Where Do They Appear

Product recommendations will show up in the Google Cloud console, in various places that are helpful and specific to task flows. As an example, these recommendations can appear as a dismissible banner at the top of the Google Cloud console. These recommendations are based on your current usage of Google Cloud and are specific to each Billing Account that you might have.

Opting out of Product recommendations

Billing admins can specify that the data for their Billing Accounts not be used for generating any product recommendations.

To opt out, admins can follow these steps:

1. In the Google Cloud console, go to the Privacy & Security page.
   Go to the Privacy & Security page
2. Click on the Transparency & Control tab.
3. Click on the Billing Account tab under the Manage Data Processing section.
4. Check the Product recommendations box.
5. Click Disable.

Once you have opted out, users in your organization will no longer see Product recommendations.
