Each region is divided into multiple zones. For\nmore information, see\n[Regions and zones](/docs/geography-and-regions#regions_and_zones) on the\nGeography, regions, and zones page.\n\nThis guide also describes issues to consider when planning how to manage the\nlocations of your input endpoints and channels.\n\nBefore you begin\n----------------\n\nMake sure you are familiar with the introductory concepts and terminology in the\nLive Stream API. For more information, see the\n[Overview](/livestream/docs/overview).\n\nManaging live stream location\n-----------------------------\n\nTo start a live stream, you first create a Cloud Storage bucket, an\ninput endpoint, and channel resource. The channel transcodes your input stream\ninto an output stream and stores the live stream manifest and segment files in\nyour Cloud Storage bucket. For the best performance results, make\nsure you create your input endpoint and channel as close as possible to the\nlocation where the live stream files are stored in Cloud Storage.\n\nAfter you create an input endpoint or channel, you can't change their locations.\n\nFor more\ninformation on optimizing the location of data stored in Cloud Storage\nand a list of available locations, see [Bucket locations](/storage/docs/locations).\n\nTo learn how to move data stored in Cloud Storage between bucket\nlocations, see\n[Copying, renaming, and moving objects](/storage/docs/copying-renaming-moving-objects).\n\nRegions\n-------\n\nThe following table lists the regions in the Americas where the\nLive Stream API is available.\n\nThe following table lists the regions in Asia Pacific where the\nLive Stream API is available.\n\nThe following table lists the regions in Australia where the\nLive Stream API is available.\n\nThe following table lists the regions in Europe where the Live Stream API\nis available.\n\nLocation considerations\n-----------------------\n\nWhen you choose a location to start your live stream, you might want to consider factors\nsuch as the following:\n\n- Latency\n- Cost\n- Resiliency\n- Co-location with other Google Cloud services, such as Cloud Storage\n\nWhat's next\n-----------\n\n- [Quickstarts](/livestream/docs/quickstarts)"]]
