Quotas are defined by Google Cloud services such as Eventarc.\n- *System limits* are fixed values that cannot be changed.\n\nGoogle Cloud uses quotas to help ensure fairness and reduce\nspikes in resource use and availability. A quota restricts how much of a\nGoogle Cloud resource your Google Cloud project can use. Quotas\napply to a range of resource types, including hardware, software, and network\ncomponents. For example, quotas can restrict the number of API calls to a\nservice, the number of load balancers used concurrently by your project, or the\nnumber of projects that you can create. Quotas protect the community of\nGoogle Cloud users by preventing the overloading of services. Quotas also\nhelp you to manage your own Google Cloud resources.\n\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n\nThe Cloud Quotas system does the following:\n\n- Monitors your consumption of Google Cloud products and services\n- Restricts your consumption of those resources\n- Provides a way to [request changes to the quota value](/docs/quotas/help/request_increase) and [automate quota adjustments](/docs/quotas/quota-adjuster)\n\nIn most cases, when you attempt to consume more of a resource than its quota\nallows, the system blocks access to the resource, and the task that\nyou're trying to perform fails.\n\nQuotas generally apply at the Google Cloud project\nlevel. Your use of a resource in one project doesn't affect\nyour available quota in another project. Within a Google Cloud project, quotas\nare shared across all applications and IP addresses.\n\n\nThere are also *system limits* on Eventarc resources.\nSystem limits can't be changed.\n| **Note:** Eventarc uses Pub/Sub push subscriptions that are subject to [throughput limits](/pubsub/quotas#resource_limits) per publish region.\n\nQuotas\n------\n\nIf your project needs more of a particular resource than your quotas allow, you\ncan [request an adjustment](/docs/quotas/help/request_increase) to\nmost quotas in the Google Cloud console. For more information, see\n[About quota adjustments](/docs/quotas/overview#about_increase_requests).\n\n### Eventarc Advanced\n\n**^1^**\nThroughput quota is measured in 64 kB increments. For example,\na 1 kB message would use 64 kB of quota.\n\n**^2^** The\nmaximum pipeline throughput is also 384 MB per minute (or 6.4 MB per\nsecond average).\n\n**^3^**\nResource API operations.\n\n### Eventarc Standard\n\nLimits\n------\n\nThe number of Eventarc resources is limited for a given project.\nThere is no direct limit on the size of the Eventarc API request.\n\n### Eventarc Advanced\n\n**^1^**\nApplicable to non-Google events that are\n[directly published](/eventarc/advanced/docs/publish-events/publish-events-direct-format): if the size limit of an event\n[context attribute](https://github.com/cloudevents/spec/blob/v1.0.2/cloudevents/spec.md#context-attributes)\nvalue is exceeded, an error occurs, and publishing is prevented.\n\n**^2^**\nResource API operations.\n\n### Eventarc Standard\n\n**^1^**\nApplicable only to Cloud Audit Logs events: if the size limit of an event\n[context attribute](https://github.com/cloudevents/spec/blob/v1.0.2/cloudevents/spec.md#context-attributes)\nvalue is exceeded, the value is truncated. Attribute names for any truncated\nvalues, delimited by semicolons, are listed in the extension attribute,\n`ce_xgoogletruncatedattributes`."]]
