Delete a metadata entity.

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Path parameters

Required. The resource name of the entity: projects/{project_number}/locations/{locationId}/lakes/{lakeId}/zones/{zoneId}/entities/{entityId}.

Authorization requires the following IAM permission on the specified resource name:

  • dataplex.entities.delete

Required. The etag associated with the entity, which can be retrieved with a [entities.get][] request.

Request body

The request body must be empty.

Response body

If successful, the response body is an empty JSON object.
