Cloud-native automation: The transformation of CSP networks
Cloud-native networks are a must for communication service providers (CSPs) to meet the needs of the future. Key benefits to be derived include:
- Lower total cost of ownership
- Scalability and a more elastic network
- Productivity and service reliability
Realizing these benefits will not come easy. Network automation developed for one virtualized network function, for example, is not necessarily transferable to other networks. Cloud-native network automation tools and standards that address this challenge must be open source and driven by community collaboration—such as Nephio.
